“We have grown in numbers, wealth, and power as no other nation.
But we have forgotten God.” – Abraham Lincoln

Our future as a nation will not be determined by our wealth, our wisdom, or our military might. Our future will be determined by the spiritual condition of our hearts.

Most people know Britney Spears, but do not know the faith and providence that brought us to these shores, or why it matters to our future. Freedom requires that we understand and respond.

We want to encourage and inspire Americans to embrace humility, make personal changes of heart, seek God, his justice, his mercy, and pray for the healing of our land. We have been blessed with so much and these are serious times.

God is a God of patience who came to save the world, not condemn it.
So there is always hope. American Destiny is one voice of hope, but also sounds a word of warning.

We want to reveal how the motives and decisions of individual Americans impact our future as a nation. We are helping light the path and telling the children what our fathers have forgotten. As Abraham Lincoln said, “We have forgotten God.”
He said this to the people, not the government. The government is a mere reflection of us.

American Destiny is about much more than our founding fathers. It is about the God who created our founding fathers, the God who rules over the nations through the consciences of men and women. We want to help Americans understand the role of Jesus the Christ, among all the nations of the earth.

And with hope for our future, also comes a word of warning.

No one can dispute the abundant goodness that has flowed from the hearts of so many Americans and impacted the world in a positive way. And yet we cannot gloss over the things remaining within us that must change. These changes begin with you and me and the choices we make in every walk of life.

In 1999 I walked into the Jefferson memorial in Washington DC not knowing much of our heritage. The words of Thomas Jefferson impacted me profoundly. These words are worth hearing again in these critical times:

“I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, and his justice cannot sleep forever.”

Choices have consequences, and freedom does not exist without of God.

Freedom allows us to choose to do what is right in the eyes of our Creator, or bring on ourselves painful consequences, as history has proven. God plants nations. He blesses nations. And he uproots them. Many nations have fallen throughout history.

This message is given in light of historical and biblical precedent, and in light of the times in which we live. It is not intended as condemnation, but rather as a message of the mercy, to keep us from self destruction.

All of us can choose personal changes of heart, and to walk in humility before the God that made us. And then we can pray for the healing of our land which faces extreme pressures from within and without.

The good news is that God came to save the world, not condemn it. It is the kindness of God that leads men and women to change. So it is important to know the source of our blessings, and what personal changes we need to make as individuals. In the end, we will all give an account for our personal choices.

We cannot save ourselves. We cannot stop Oklahoma City Bombings, Columbine Massacres, Hurricane Katrina’s, or even 911’s. That is why our national motto is,
In God We Trust. What we have to ask ourselves is, do we really?

Know that these words are spoken in humility because of my love for God, my family, my country, and you. I obviously do not have all the answers, but I’m asking you to join me on the journey to discover the spiritual roots of our nation, understand whey they matter to our future, and be willing to make personal changes of heart, so we can pass this blessing on to our children for future generations.

What God said about nations:
"From one man he made every nation of men that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
-Acts 17:26

"If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned."
- Jeremiah 18:7

But if any nation does not listen, I will completely uproot and destroy it, declares the Lord."
- Jeremiah 12:17

God sent his Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but to save the world.

- John 3:17
