Marshall Foster
Advisory Board Member
Marshall Foster is the founder and president
of the Mayflower Institute, a nonprofit educational
foundation dedicated to teaching the biblical
and historical foundations of liberty. The Mayflower
Institute’s purpose from its conception
in 1976, has been to proclaim Christ’s
gospel of liberty, as America’s founders
envisioned; to prepare Christians to defend
the faith in all spheres of culture; and to
teach God’s biblical and historical strategy
for renewing a nation beginning with the individual
and overflowing into the family, church, city,
and eventually the entire nation. |
Marshall graduated
from the University of California at Santa Barbara
with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. His graduate
work was accomplished at Talbot Theological
Seminary, the California Graduate School of
Theology, and Cathedral Bible College, from
which he earned his Doctorate of Divinity.
Dr. Foster is a nationally recognized historian,
best-selling author, popular keynote speaker,
and syndicated radio host. Marshall speaks at
business, church, and homeschool conventions,
retreats, and meetings. He has given over 400
seminars in 41 states, Canada, and Europe on
such topics as building a spiritual family dynasty,
restoring America’s constitutional republic,
the history of the world from a biblical perspective,
and free enterprise: the engine of freedom.
He has reached millions more through radio and
TV.
As the author of three books, numerous syndicated
articles, audio and video seminars for home,
church, and school study, and the editor of
the Mayflower Institute Journal, Marshall’s
teaching has reached millions with the hopeful
message of spiritual and cultural renewal. His
best selling book, The American Covenant –
The Untold Story, now in its eighth edition,
is being used in thousands of study groups.
This book documents the biblically based personalities
and principles that formed the foundation for
America’s economic, governmental, legal,
educational, and spiritual institutions.
Marshall was the leader of the Los Angeles
Rams chaplaincy program, the founder of the
Campus Crusade Ministry at the University of
Southern California, a Bible college professor,
and a speaker for Promise Keepers and for the
nationwide Worldview Weekend Conferences. He
is currently the Director of Education for American
Christian Tours and leads exciting Christian
legacy teaching tours to America’s historic
East Coast, continental Europe, and the British
Isles.
Marshall and his wife, Trish, a UCLA graduate
and ministry partner of 33 years, have two adult
children. Their family resides in California
and actively participate in the ministry of
the Mayflower Institute.
